Thursday evening Bend High said goodbye to the old and unveiled its new concert piano at the Holiday Choir Concert. The used, 7-foot Yamaha grand piano replaces the school’s old, 9-foot Knabe, a piano built in America during the Civil War that’s seen its share of drama and abuse over the past 150 years. The concert’s audience reveled in the Yamaha’s robust sound during accompanist Stephanie King’s solo performance of Chopin’s “Fantaisie-Impromptu.” Read full story at http://www.bendbulletin.com/newpiano.
